FHIR Mapping

OGIS complements FHIR—it does not replace it. v0.1 does not publish a normative FHIR mapping pack.

Complementary roles

• OGIS — glucose-native streaming semantics, developer ergonomics, vendor-neutral canonical events
• FHIR — healthcare exchange, Observation resources, clinical workflows

Informative direction (draft)

Future mapping guidance is expected to relate glucose.reading to FHIR R4 Observation, Device, and Provenance resources. Track progress via RFC and the interoperability repository FEATURE roadmap (FHIR-001).
